Softball Recap: Woods Cross Comes Up Short

Woods Cross lost against Bountiful back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Woods Cross came up short against Bountiful, falling 16-3. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Audrey Ayala made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Tina Tuakiapimahu, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Woods Cross now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Bountiful, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Woods Cross will square off against Clearfield at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Clearfield will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Bountiful, they will welcome Roy at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bountiful is facing Roy at the right time seeing as Roy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
