Volleyball Recap: Catholic Crusaders vs. Cape Henry Collegiate Dolphins

If Catholic was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Walsingham Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Catholic Crusaders took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cape Henry Collegiate Dolphins on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October.

Catholic started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-17.

Even though they lost, Catholic was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in seven consecutive matches.
