Concord owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 27-0 victory over the North Gaston Wildcats. The Spiders not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 20, 2024 (when they won 45-0).

Concord's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for North Gaston, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Concord will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against West Rowan at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. The matchup will give the Spiders their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for North Gaston, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 16-12 defeat against South Caldwell on the 12th.
