Baseball Game Preview: Tracy Bulldogs vs. West Wolfpack

For the second straight game, Tracy will face off against West. The Bulldogs will square off against the Wolfpack at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Tracy's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over West. That 13 run margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Jacoby Freitas looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He is becoming a predictor of Tracy's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 4-1 (and 7-12 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, Dylan Giannini and Ryan Torres did most of the damage at the plate: Giannini went 1-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Torres went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. Those three RBI gave Torres a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brady Brown, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Tracy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

West has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18-1 record this season. As for Tracy, their record now sits at 11-13.

West's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Tracy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game.
