Softball Recap: Millard Has No Trouble Against Kanab

Millard won the last time they faced Kanab and things went their way on Thursday too. The Millard Eagles put the hurt on the Kanab Cowboys with a sharp 11-5 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Millard let Maren Davies and Emily Stephenson run wild. Davies scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Stephenson went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits Davies has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Turner, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-4.

Millard was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .595. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Millard's record now sits at 5-6. As for Kanab, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Millard will look to defend their home field on Friday against Parowan at 3:30 p.m. Millard is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season. As for Kanab, they will head out on the road to take on Enterprise at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Enterprise has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.67 runs per game on average), something Kanab will no doubt try to take advantage of.
