Volleyball Recap: Lodi Triumphs

Lodi took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Tracy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Flames sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Bulldogs on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Flames.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (102-101) Lodi actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-19, 15-11.

Erik De La Torre-Arias went supernova, getting 22 digs and one assist. Those 22 digs gave him a new career-high.

Lodi's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Tracy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
