Basketball Game Preview: Talawanda Brave vs. Harrison Wildcats

Talawanda is on a seven-game streak of home losses also dating back to last season, Harrison an eight-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Talawanda Brave will welcome the Harrison Wildcats at 7:30 p.m.

Talawanda is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 81 points two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Badin on Friday. They took a blow against the Rams, falling 50-21. The matchup marked the Brave's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Harrison slipped by Monroe 52-51 on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Wildcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 606th, while the Hornets are ranked 172nd).

Harrison's win came from a few key players Talawanda will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tucker Ward, who posted 13 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Lawhon, who had seven points and six rebounds.

Harrison's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Talawanda, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
