Basketball Recap: Pittsburg Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Littleton, Pittsburg was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-43 victory over the Moultonborough Academy Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Pittsburg has posted against Moultonborough Academy since January 31, 2020.

Pittsburg's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Moultonborough Academy, they dropped their record down to 6-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Pittsburg will challenge Gorham at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Gorham knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Pittsburg likes a good challenge. As for Moultonborough Academy, they will host Lin-Wood at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Moultonborough Academy is facing Lin-Wood at the right time seeing as Lin-Wood is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
