Soccer Recap: Wood Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Wood was not quite Cordova's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Cordova Lancers by a score of 1-0.

Wood now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Cordova, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6-1.

Wood will be home for the holidays to greet American Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wood's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Cordova will take on River City in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cordova's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
