Basketball Recap: Logansport Takes a Loss

Logansport lost against Kokomo back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Logansport Berries took a blow against the Kokomo Wildkats, falling 66-24. The Berries were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-16.

Despite the loss, Logansport still got an impressive performance from Golda Kitchell, who posted seven points and seven rebounds.

Kokomo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jhordyn Brown led the charge by going 6 of 10 en route to 15 points and five steals. The dominant performance gave Brown a new career-high in points. Makaela Drake was another key player, going 7 for 13 on her way to 19 points and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Logansport and nudges their season record down to 2-14. As for Kokomo, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.

Logansport wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-25 defeat against Western on the 11th. Kokomo has also already played their next contest, a 51-46 loss against Harrison on the 14th.
