Softball Recap: Hickory Flat Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Hickory Flat's offense. They came up short against the Falkner Eagles on Thursday, falling 15-0. The loss leaves the Rebels still looking for their first win of the season.

Hickory Flat's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Falkner, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Hickory Flat will face off against Walnut at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hickory Flat has given up an average of 16.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Falkner will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Pine Grove at 5:30 p.m. on March 18th.
