 Fairview started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Harbor Creek. Their  tough  11-1 loss to the Harbor Creek Huskies  on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. Fairview has not had much luck with Harbor Creek recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
 For Harbor Creek's part,  Addison Lucas spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered one  run (which was  unearned)  on four hits and racked up nine Ks. Lucas has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Georgia Weber was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-3.  Maggie Konieczki was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-1.
 Fairview's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Harbor Creek, their victory was  their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 2-2.
 Fairview will head out on the road to  challenge  North East at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Harbor Creek, they will  take on Fort LeBoeuf at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. One thing working in Fort LeBoeuf's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last three matchups.
