Football Recap: Naperville Central Piles Up the Points Against Joliet Central

The Naperville Central Redhawks humbled the Joliet Central Steelmen with a 38-6 victory. The Redhawks' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Naperville Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Tegan Marshall and Nicole Smith were the leaders of the group effort as each produced two apiece. Smith also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 13. Malia Shen got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Naperville Central's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Joliet Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
