La Plata won the last time they faced Patuxent, and Karon Allen did his part to make sure it happened again. The La Plata Warriors walked away with a 53-41 win over the Patuxent Panthers on Wednesday thanks in part to Allen, who posted 15 points in addition to five boards and five steals. He has become a key player for La Plata: the team is undefeated when he posts at least five steals, but 4-10 otherwise.

Patrick Ellis also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in field goal percentage (75%).

Patuxent lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Shane Lawrernce, who went 5 for 11 to rack up 12 points. Another player making a difference was Jaden Elliott, who put up six points and 12 rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for La Plata and bumps their season record up to 8-10. As for Patuxent, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with the loss, which was their 14th straight on the road.

La Plata has already played their next contest, a 49-47 win against Westlake on the 7th. As for Patuxent, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-35 defeat against St. Charles on the 7th.
