Volleyball Game Preview: Collins Hill Eagles vs. Lowndes Vikings

After both having extra time off, the Collins Hill Eagles and the Lowndes Vikings will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Collins Hill will be strutting in after a win while Lowndes will be coming in after a defeat.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Collins Hill took on Dacula on Wednesday. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Falcons 3-2.

Abby Kim went supernova, getting 25 digs and four assists. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six matchups.

Collins Hill was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 12 consecutive contests.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Lowndes and Columbia, and Columbia kept the tradition alive. The Vikings came up short against the Tigers on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19, 25-18.

Lowndes' loss dropped their record down to 27-13. As for Collins Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-19 record this season.
