Baseball Recap: HCYA Takes a Loss

HCYA came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-4 to the Houston Christian Mustangs. The loss continues a trend for HCYA in their meetings with Houston Christian: they've now lost seven in a row.

Luke Parish was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Austin Charanza, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

HCYA's defeat dropped their record down to 20-15-1. As for Houston Christian, their win bumped their record up to 9-12-4.

HCYA does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Houston Christian, they will face off against Bellaire at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
