Basketball Recap: Mesabi East Comes Up Short

Mesabi East lost against Ely back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mesabi East Giants were dealt a 70-43 loss at the hands of the Ely Timberwolves.

Mesabi East's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Ely, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Looking ahead, Mesabi East will challenge Two Harbors at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Ely, they have already played their next game, a 108-36 win against Lake of the Woods on the 8th.
