Tristan Lyles Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Central got the W thanks in part to Tristan Lyles playing the best football he has all season. Lyles picked up five sacks, forced a fumble, and made nine total tackles (7.0 for loss).
Lyles might have his next game, a home matchup with Opelika, circled on his calendar. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Lyles saw the Bulldogs), he picked up a sack, forced a fumble, and made eight total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Aj Alexander Turns in Another Game with at Least 136 Rushing Yards
Dothan was led to victory by Aj Alexander, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Alexander's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 136 rushing yards dating back to last season.
If the past is any indication, Alexander could be in store for another big game when he takes on Smiths Station on Friday. When Alexander last faced the Panthers back in September of 2023, he rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.

Omar Mabson and Co. Win Seventh in a Row
Auburn picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Omar Mabson. Smiths Station had no answer to Mabson as he rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also caught a touchdown.
Smiths Station had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Mabson it was a similar story. When Mabson last faced the Panthers back in November of 2023, he rushed for 136 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries.

Hughley Posts Huge Game in 30-13 Win
Opelika picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Calvin Hughley. Hughley turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 127 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
Opelika's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Hughley and Opelika will challenge Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
