Baseball Recap: Monte Vista Takes a Loss

Monte Vista lost against West Hills on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Monarchs fell just short of the Wolf Pack by a score of 5-4. The Monarchs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Antonio Mccomb was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Reuben Cabugwas, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Monte Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for West Hills, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monte Vista will take on El Cajon Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Monarchs are facing the Braves at the right time seeing as the Braves are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for West Hills, they will square off against Santana at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Sultans will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Wolf Pack surely won't give up without a fight.
