Baseball Recap: Rolling Hills Prep Takes a Loss

Rolling Hills Prep lost a heartbreaker to Harbor Teacher when they met back in February of 2022, and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. The Rolling Hills Prep Huskies fell just short of the Harbor Teacher Monarchs by a score of 10-9. The loss continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Monarchs: they've now lost four in a row.

Alex Hernandez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Sarner, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Even though they lost, Rolling Hills Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Rolling Hills Prep's record now sits at 0-3-1. As for Harbor Teacher, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rolling Hills Prep will square off against Port of Los Angeles at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Harbor Teacher will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Gardena at 3:00 p.m. on March 19th.
