Softball Recap: Valencia's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

Valencia made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Warren, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Valencia was the clear victor by an 11-4 margin over Warren on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won four matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Elizabeth Nunez was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with three doubles, three RBI, and one run. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Allison Risner, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Valencia's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8. As for Warren, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 7-7 record.

Coincidentally, Valencia and Warren will both be playing Elsinore the next time they take the field. Warren will head out to face Elsinore at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Valencia will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
