Basketball Game Preview: Burges Mustangs vs. Jefferson Silver Foxes

Burges is on a four-game streak of home losses, Jefferson a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Burges Mustangs will host the Jefferson Silver Foxes at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Wednesday, Burges took a blow against Chapin, falling 75-48. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 767th, while the Huskies are ranked 29th).

Meanwhile, Jefferson lost 47-24 to Andress on Tuesday.

Burges' loss dropped their record down to 12-19. As for Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-23.

Everything went Burges' way against Jefferson in their previous meeting back in January, as Burges made off with a 58-32 victory. Will Burges repeat their success, or does Jefferson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
