Baseball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson fell victim to Athens and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered since April 15, 2025.

Jefferson saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kobin Tomlinson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Jefferson and nudges their season record down to 2-6-1. As for Athens, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coincidentally, Jefferson and Athens will both be playing Palmer the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Hornets will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
