Volleyball Recap: Imperial Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Imperial took on Brawley on Tuesday. The Tigers fell 3-1 to the Wildcats. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-17, 16-25, 25-23.

Maddie Magdaleno paced Imperial's offense, picking up 13 kills. Magdaleno got some help from Chyenne Cox and her 16 assists. Magdaleno was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Imperial's loss dropped their record down to 19-16. As for Brawley, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 21-12.

Coincidentally, Imperial and Brawley will both be playing Southwest EC the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wildcats will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
