Perry suffers seventh straight loss on the road

Recap: Perry Yellowjackets vs. Le Roy Oatkan Knights

This season hasn't been kind to the Perry Yellowjackets, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 59-32 loss at the hands of Le Roy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Perry in their matchups with Le Roy: they've now lost four in a row.

Merritt Holly Jr. continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Le Roy, scoring 28 points along with eight rebounds. The contest was Holly Jr.'s eighth in a row with at least ten points. Matthew Hockey was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.

Perry's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Le Roy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Perry will look to defend their home court on Friday against Dansville at 7:00 p.m. Dansville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Perry in New York (Dansville is ranked 352nd, while Perry is ranked 715th). As for Le Roy, they will head out on the road to face off against Rochester Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
