            Football Recap: Port Jervis Raiders vs. Minisink Valley Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            
After flying high against Saugerties  last Friday, Port Jervis came back down to earth. The Raiders came up short against  the Minisink Valley Warriors on Friday, falling  31-6. The defensive woes were  uncharacteristic for the Raiders, who until this  matchup were averaging 11.5  points allowed.
 Dylan Fox threw for 37 yards  on eight of 16 attempts.  On the ground,  Mason Witkowski rushed for 56 yards.
 Minisink Valley had a senior duo take command as  Robert Labarbera rushed for 157 yards and one  score on only eight carries and  Zach Filip rushed for 143 yards and a pair of  touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.
Having lost for the first time  this season, Port Jervis  fell to 7-1. As for Minisink Valley, the  victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
 Coming up, Port Jervis will face off against Red Hook at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few  points on average (Port Jervis 11.5, Red Hook 10.1) so any  points scored will be well earned. Minisink Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
