Baseball Game Preview: Washington Union Panthers vs. Arroyo Grande Eagles

The Washington Union Panthers will challenge the Arroyo Grande Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Washington Union will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.

Washington Union is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Central Valley Christian get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory.

Another player making a difference was Luke Plaza, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Washington Union's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Arroyo Grande, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-15-1 record this season.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. However, it's not like Arroyo Grande struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7 strikeouts.
