Preview: Adirondack Wildcats vs. Cazenovia Lakers

The Adirondack Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Cazenovia Lakers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Adirondack comes in on three and Cazenovia on eight.

Even though Bishop Ludden/Syracuse Academy of Science scored an imposing 35 points on Friday, Adirondack still came out on top. Adirondack strolled past Bishop Ludden/Syracuse Academy of Science with points to spare, taking the game 50-35.

John Hennessey had a dynamite game for Adirondack, rushing for 124 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 71 yards and two touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes. Hennessey is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. Isaac Croneiser and his 97 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Adirondack's victory.

Meanwhile, Cazenovia put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Holland Patent, posting a 44-14 win at home. Given Cazenovia's advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Holland Patent is ranked 348th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cazenovia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Robert Livingston, who threw for 108 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Jack Donlin was another key contributor, gaining 50 total yards and two touchdowns.

Adirondack's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Cazenovia, their victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-0.
