Volleyball Recap: Colusa Now 9-2 over Last 11 Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Colusa had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Pierce Bears with a sharp 3-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the RedHawks have posted against the Bears since October 18, 2022.

Colusa walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-16, 25-14, 25-20.

Peyton Miller paced Colusa's offense, picking up 16 kills. Miller got some help from Cindel Oliver and her 31 assists. Miller was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Colusa is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-12 record this season. As for Pierce, their loss dropped their record down to 24-10.

Colusa will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against University Prep at 7:00 p.m. on November 8. Pierce does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
