Baseball Recap: Tomales Takes a Loss

Tomales was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of the Willits Wolverines. Even if the Braves couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Stran Stevens was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Shaun Pelayo was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Tomales' loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Willits, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tomales will square off against Technology at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Willits, they will face off against Sonoma Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
