The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the WILDCATS considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Wes Guardiola was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. Guardiola was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.
