Willamette put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the North Medford Black Tornado 42-22. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Willamette to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zeke Thomas, who threw for 352 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes, and also rushed for 34 yards and one score. Hunter Vaughn was in the mix too, providing the Wolverines with two TDs.
Willamette didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kawai Chamberlin and Brodie Butler. Tony Cumberland was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making seven total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Willamette's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for North Medford, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.
