Basketball Recap: Marion-Franklin Comes Up Short

Marion-Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 68-6 loss at the hands of the Africentric Early College Nubians. The Red Devils lost against the Nubians in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 93-3 score last time.

Marion-Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Africentric Early College, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marion-Franklin will head out to challenge South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Marion-Franklin surely won't give up without a fight. As for Africentric Early College, they will venture away from home to square off against Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
