Volleyball Recap: West Iredell Takes a Loss

West Iredell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newton-Conover Red Devils. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Devils earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

West Iredell's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Newton-Conover, the victory snapped their losing streak at 11 matches and leaves them with a 2-17 record.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. West Iredell will take on rival Bandys at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Newton-Conover is set to challenge their familiar foe Foard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
