Softball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Comes Up Short

Mt. Pleasant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Frazier Commodores. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Commodores apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

Mt. Pleasant saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gigi Stanek 2025, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Mt. Pleasant now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Frazier, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Mt. Pleasant and Frazier will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Vikings will face off against rival Ligonier Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Frazier is set to take on their familiar foe California at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
