Baseball Recap: Greater New Bedford RVT Takes a Loss

The Greater New Bedford RVT Bears came up short against the West Bridgewater Wildcats on Monday and fell 9-5.

Jack Anderson was cooking despite his team's loss, firing off two home runs and three RBI while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Dorian Fortes, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two doubles, and one run.

Greater New Bedford RVT dropped their record down to 7-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for West Bridgewater, their record now sits at 6-9.

Greater New Bedford RVT and West Bridgewater could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings. The Bears will challenge Dartmouth at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (145 vs. 50). Meanwhile, West Bridgewater (ranked 246th) will meet Seekonk (ranked 122nd) at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
