Baseball Recap: Campbellsport Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

On Thursday Campbellsport's undefeated season almost came to an end. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Mayville Cardinals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-3 on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Kyler Bowe, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Jace Goebel, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Campbellsport pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Mayville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

As for Mayville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Waupun at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
