Mt. Vernon entered their tilt with Grayville on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Bison by a score of 2-0.

Mt. Vernon never let Grayville on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22.

Mt. Vernon's win bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Grayville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mt. Vernon will head out to square off against Herrin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grayville, they will challenge Patoka at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
