Volleyball Game Preview: Coquille Red Devils vs. Salem Academy Crusaders

After both having extra time off, the Coquille Red Devils and the Salem Academy Crusaders will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Salem Academy took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Coquille, who comes in off a win.

Last Thursday, Coquille was able to grind out a solid win over South Umpqua, taking the game 3-1. The Red Devils haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Salem Academy and Dayton, and Dayton kept the tradition alive. The Crusaders lost 3-0 to the Pirates on Saturday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Crusaders haven't been shut out since back in August.

Salem Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Coquille, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.
