Softball Recap: Lloyd Memorial Comes Up Short

Lloyd Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 13-3 to the Highlands Bluebirds. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Juggernauts of the 17-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Lloyd Memorial saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mady Godsey, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Samantha Canter also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Lloyd Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Highlands, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2-1.

Looking ahead, Lloyd Memorial will take on Dayton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Highlands, they will challenge Simon Kenton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
