Baseball Recap: Harding Academy Comes Up Short

Harding Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 15-0 to the Evangelical Christian Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 last Monday.

Harding Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leland Sammons, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Harding Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Evangelical Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

Coming up, Harding Academy will head out to challenge Lausanne Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Evangelical Christian, they will square off against Christian Brothers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Purple Wave's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
