Soccer Recap: Evergreen Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Evergreen had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Steamboat Springs Sailors by a score of 2-1. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Evergreen couldn't quite close it out.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evergreen will head out to square off against Air Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Steamboat Springs, they will venture away from home to challenge Vail Mountain at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give Steamboat Springs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
