Preview: Dayton vs. Clatskanie
On Friday Clatskanie take on Dayton at 7:00 PM. Clatskanie have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Clatskanie had a rough outing against Rainier two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Clatskanie steamrollered Taft 55-12. Followers of Clatskanie probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up at halftime, but Dayton weren't quite Rainier's equal in the second half when they met last Friday. Dayton have to be aching after a bruising 8-32 defeat to Rainier. The blowout was painful but not necessarily a suprise as Rainier enjoys a considerable advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Clatskanie's victory lifted them to 4-2 while Dayton's loss dropped them down to 2-4. We'll see if Clatskanie's success rolls on or if Dayton are able to steal their positive momentum.
