Softball Recap: Esko Extends Winning Streak to Four

Esko extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, bumping them up to 4-1. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Moose Lake/Willow River Rebels. The Eskomos have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rebels, too.

As for Moose Lake/Willow River, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

For Moose Lake/Willow River's part, Isabella Emmons made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was Emmons' first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kara Lemieux, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one triple and one run.

Coming up, Esko will welcome Grand Rapids at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Moose Lake/Willow River, they will venture away from home to take on Two Harbors at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
