While North Posey's  win against Evansville Mater Dei wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Wildcats  5-4. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive  victory against them.
 Alyssa Heath was a  major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed 6.1 innings while giving up  four earned runs off   five  hits. Heath was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI. That  triple was  her first of the season.
 In other batting news, North Posey let  Paige Vaughn and  Ava Staples run wild. Vaughn  went 2-for-3 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI, while  Staples  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  RBI. That's the most  RBI  Staples has posted since back in March.
North Posey's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Evansville Mater Dei, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record  this season.
 North Posey will face off against South Spencer at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Evansville Mater Dei, they will be taking part in a tournament against Evansville Memorial  at 8:30  a.m.  on Saturday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 9.2  runs per game this season.
