Collierville is ranked highly in their home state and on Tuesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Lake Cormorant. The Dragons won by a set and slipped past Lake Cormorant 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Dragons have posted since August 23rd.

Collierville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 22-25, 25-21, 25-22, 16-14.

Collierville pushed their record up to 13-6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Lake Cormorant, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-7.
