Volleyball Recap: Ariminty Yu's Big Game Can't Quite Lead San Marino over Cleveland

San Marino lost against Cleveland back in September of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Titans fell just short of the Cavaliers by a score of 2-1. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

San Marino's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ariminty Yu, who had 25 digs and two aces. Yu has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 50 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cynthia Kackstetter, who had eight digs and two aces.

San Marino's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10-1. As for Cleveland, their victory bumped their record up to 14-10.

San Marino has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Oakwood on the 26th. As for Cleveland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Village Christian on the 26th.
