BRUSH, Colo. -
Brush (Colo.) snapped the five-game winning streak of
Florence (Colo.), with a 33-14 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Kyle Rosenbrock in the first quarter, the Beetdiggers were up 27-14 at the half.
Brush grew its lead to 19 points entering the fourth quarter. BHS's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown run by
Alec Petterson.
With the win the Beetdiggers extended their winning streak to 10 games. Brush defeated The Academy 55-6 last week.
The Huskies came in allowing just 15.3 points per game this season. Florence struggled against Brush's offense, which entered the game scoring 43.7 points per game. BHS went into the matchup giving up only 7.2 points per game. Florence's 14 points were well below its season average of 33.0 per game.
The loss comes after Florence defeated Strasburg 26-20 last week.
