Basketball Recap: Southeastern Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Southeastern, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Altamont Knights by a score of 58-50 on Friday. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 65-60 win the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Southeastern is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Altamont, they dropped their record down to 1-19 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road.

It'll be an old-fashioned rodeo when the Southeastern Mustangs challenge the Holly Pond Broncos at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Holly Pond will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Southeastern surely won't give up without a fight. As for Altamont, they will challenge Homewood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
