Football Game Preview: Patrician Academy Saints vs. Banks Academy Jets

The Patrician Academy Saints will challenge the Banks Academy Jets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Patrician Academy will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

On Friday, Patrician Academy blew past Sparta Academy, posting a 49-8 victory. The Saints might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 24 points or more this season.

Ethan Carr had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 170 yards and three TDs on only seven carries. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 156 rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ridge Russell, who rushed for 86 yards and a pair of scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Patrician Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 475 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 309 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Patrician Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Russell and Remington Faile.

Meanwhile, Banks Academy's game on Friday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They enjoyed a cozy 49-35 win over Clarke Prep. The Jets haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Patrician Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Banks Academy, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
